About the event
Dr. Alex Kor, the son of Holocaust survivors Mickey and Eva Kor, grew up in Indiana, a state with both charm and a history of prejudice. In his book, A Blessing, Not a Burden: My Parents’ Remarkable Holocaust Story & My Fight to Keep Their Legacy Alive, Dr. Kor shares his journey from a unique childhood to his mission of preserving his parents’ legacy. He reflects on his mother’s decision to forgive the Nazis, his father’s enduring optimism, and his own views on forgiveness in a world still struggling with discrimination. From Indiana to Auschwitz, Dr. Kor’s journey is one of resilience, echoing his parents’ strength in overcoming adversity.
This event is free and open to the public.
Guests are asked to register by November 25th at www.vaholocaust.org.
